It does not air any actual scenes from the next season but what makes it intriguing is the queen of dragon walking towards a throne.

Jon Snow's face betrays the grim future everyone faces in "Game of Thrones" season 7.

The latest teaser to get Game of Thrones fans' tongues wagging ahead of the TV series' seventh season was released by HBO on Friday morning (NZ time).

The biggest takeaway from the trailer comes at the very end, when Cersei breathes on the Iron Throne - and icy vapors encapsulate the breath. The end is near and we can not wait for the new season to unfold.

"Thrones" returns July 16, 2017 for its penultimate, seven-episode season.

This 90 second teaser features Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, and Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister as they walk dramatically to their respective thrones.

In the new footage, Jon, Daenerys, and Cersei are shown making solo walks to the throne room. This could also further hint that Daenerys isn't that keen on wreaking havoc just to claim the Iron Throne but instead joins forces with other Houses to defeat a common evil. However, instead of the title track of the HBO fantasy fiction, singer James' sound track Sit Down, released in 1990, plays throughout the teaser. See that White Walker at the end of the promo?

Earlier, the GoT's official Facebook page revealed that British singer Ed Sheeran will be a guest starring in Season 7.

The last goodbye message is brought to you by the blue-eyed white walker nobody loves - the Night King. The show debuts on July 16th, but HBO released a 90-second first trailer on Thursday that's simply awesome... and chilling at the same time.
